Alaskan born, I will always have a soft spot for the open wilderness. It's where I draw much of my inspiration for my work. I'm Alex Lakin, an LA-based director of photography and colorist who's always on the lookout for interesting frames.
My portfolio features a collection of narrative, commercial, and experimental films that demonstrate a diversity of shooting styles. Though "repetition makes perfect", I don't believe in making the same project. Every story is different, and deserves its own attention and care.
When not shooting, I'm usually found wandering somewhere in the mountains. Taking some snaps along the way with my dog, Q.
